Rulapalooza #7

Rulapalooza #7 is welcoming in the new year with a superb live music showcase, bringing us some of the most dynamic bands from the Hong Kong scene. The night opens with all-girl Japanese rock band NANA, followed by newly formed After Tales with fresh and sweet tunes, bubblegum pop from Musčat and a midnight hour ushering of rhythms and beats from Bluesymen. And the concert is totally free!

M+ Cinema’s Winter Edition Programme

Launching this month, the M+ Cinema Winter Edition promises to continue the museum’s enriching display of contemporary visual culture. This three-month programme (from January to March 2023) includes a thematic complementary piece to M+’s Special Exhibition, a range of artists’ films, documentaries and narrative features, previews of long-awaited local and foreign films (like Darren Aronofsky’s “The Whale” with Brendan Fraser!), forgotten gems and old classics in original 35mm film prints, post-screening discussions and more!

Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival

The Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival is a three-year arts project that gives you the opportunity to explore the rich natural resources and the long and deep history and culture of four isles in Sai Kung Hoi. This year (the first year!), the Arts Festival will look at the Hakka culture of Yim Tin Tsai and the special landforms of Sharp Island, focusing on topics like villagers’ stories, rural-urban balance, nature conservation, religion and culture, supplemented by free guided tours and programmes (like kayaking and workshops!).
